The European Alliance for Innovation (EAI); www.eai.eu is a community-driven organization devoted to empowering ICT innovation in Europe by bringing research to the market. As one of the largest organization in its field, EAI is looking to expand its operations in Central Europe.

EAI is now seeking a Business Development Manager for its EAI office in Slovakia.

The Business Development Manager is the key link with EAI Institutional Members and event sponsors. The role is varied and extensive and the Business Development Manager must demonstrate strong consultative selling skills and high levels of customer service to ensure the image of EAI in the highest regard by the stakeholders.

Specific Job responsibilities will include:

- Continue to build strong relationship with current and potential EAI Institutional Members;
- Develop and promote EAI Institutional Membership opportunities and ensure their active participation in the EAI community;
- Create event Sponsorship Packages and identify qualified prospective business partners through targeted research;
- Make effective presentations to prospective clients;
- Ensure and achieve maximum event revenue;
- Exceed all performance goals on a consistent basis;
- Contribution to the preparation of the Marketing and Material for online communities;
- Opportunity to travel internationally, and work in English in an international environment.

Technical Skills:

- Significant 2-3 years of experience with business development or sales management;
- Experience with creating and working with event and sponsorship packages;
- Practical experience using MS Office suite products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Excellent English writing and oral skills.

Organization skills:

- Strong prospective and cold-calling skills;
- Good organizational skills to support multiple partners and parallel events;
- Ability to develop good customer relationships;
- Autonomous thinking and good analytical skills;
- Capability to adapt to dynamic environments;
- Ability to work with scientific research communities;
- Ability to work hands-on and with limited supervision;
- Great interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to easy handle rejection.

Information about the selection process

Working schedule: Full-Time
Compensation: Consists of: base salary, monthly performance-based commissions
Working place: Slovak Technical University, st. Vazovova 5, 81243 Bratislava
