Job description, responsibilities and duties

Position overview:

The Order Management Specialist will be responsible for receiving, processing, shipping and/or delivering products and services in accordance with customer demands and requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide order management of sales order processing
• Track open sales orders, ensuring that orders flow through the order fulfillment cycle quickly
• Proactively identify and help implement enhancements to order management processes and tools to support a positive customer experience, streamline order processing, and provide scalable solutions
• Develop relationships internally to act as single point of contact for order management issues
• Provide continuous support and communication to sales, purchasing and warehouse with regards to any problems or changes to orders and resolve accordingly
• Facilitate interdepartmental communication to expedite resolution of discrepancies and order issues
• Coordinate and monitor the progress of customer orders from acceptance to fulfillment to ensure customer requirements are met and appropriate process flow is maintained
• Assume other responsibilities as necessary

Personality requirements and skills

We Are Seeking Candidates With The Following:

• 2-3 years Order Management, Project Management, Customer Service or Data Entry experience with the highest level of accuracy
• Working knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, or order fulfillment
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Demonstrated resource management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Requirements:

• Excellent customer focus
• Demonstrates a good grasp of knowledge and principles of field of specialization and applies through successful completion of assignments.
• Experience in SAP highly preferred including: Sales and Delivery Module, Production Planning Module.
• Ability and experience functioning in a team environment
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to easily learn and apply new processes and tools
• Must be able to effectively perform in a fast paced/challenging environment.
• Ability to plan activities, prioritize and manage resources, striving for continuous improvement.
• Ability to recognize the need for change, stimulate innovation and deal with ambiguity and resistance.
