Our client is the undisputed global market leader in its field of medical technology, with subsidiary companies in twelve countries and distributors in over sixty.

As a progressive, patient-centric company which aims to increase its market penetration in Czech Republic and Slovakia, my client is now seeking a Patient Engagement Manager to connect with patients and clinicians across this region, reporting directly to the Director Sales Emerging Markets.

The Patient Engagement Manager will play a vital for role in expanding business in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Core to this expansion is the planning, definition and subsequent focused implementation of a sales plan; including building a team of 2 to 3 individuals that will report to the Patient Engagement Manager and provide product support and expertise to the local distributors.

The Patient Engagement manager and his/her team will visit patients, create events for them, and maintain consistent contact. He/she is expected to spend 60-80% of the time in the field educating both patients and clinicians about these innovative, life-changing products.

To effectively realize the sales plan, the successful candidate should be able to work independently, be intelligent and driven, and have a commercial mindset. This profile will be reflected in the hiring of new team members, for which the Patient Engagement manager is responsible. He/she must also understand the Czech and Slovak market and speak English on an advanced level, to act as a true partner in expanding my client’s reach in this less developed market region.

Strong candidates for the role Patient Engagement Manager will possess:

• Significant experience in a similar position and function – Sales & Marketing is an advantage.

• Fluent Czech/Slovak in addition to good written and spoken English

• University/College degree, preferably in life science – nursing/medical qualification is an advantage.

• Ability to analyze problems, delivering practical and innovative solutions critical to business needs.

• Proactive and can-do attitude

• Business acumen, strategic skills and ability to work independently

The representative office of the Patient Engagement team can be based in one of three locations (Brno, Bratislava or Olomouc) - to be decided by the Patient Engagement Manager, in agreement with the Sales Director Emerging Markets.
