Junior Quantitative Specialist Analytical Service Center (m/f), Bratislava

The Risk Division (Holding) will set up a Service center (Erste Group Service Center, EGSC) in Bratislava. The Service Center is supposed to offer services for the Risk Division in Vienna related to the operations quantitative methods and validation, compliance, projects and reporting.

Within Erste Group Risk Management the business area Risk Methods and Models is responsible for methodological and modelling aspects of the management of credit, market and liquidity risk group-wide.

YOU:
  • support the analysis of model monitoring reports with a focus on changes in model performance or data quality
  • provide definition and layout of model monitoring reports
  • execute ad-hoc analytical tasks, for example impact simulation of new model developments, analysis of data anomalies, evaluation of new quantitative methods on EG portfolios.
  • contribute to model development projects in individually and specifically assigned tasks, such as univariate analysis of variables, analysis of data definciencies
  • support improvement of overall modelling organization and competence center structure by executing specifically assigned tasks, e.g. documentation of data processes
  • hold an undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Natural Sciences) with very good results
  • want to gain first professional experience. Up to two years of experience in financial companies are beneficial but not required. Internships in financial companies are beneficial.
  • have basic computer knowledge (MS Office) and programming ability (no specific language required)
  • like to work in teams and have the ability to communicate remotely and with more senior stakeholders
  • are able to work independently and to deadlines on assigned tasks after acquisition of required knowledge to execute tasks and to actively seek to enhance own understanding and challenge
  • speak and write English fluently, any other core market language (German, CEE) is an advantage
