Application Deployment & Release Specialist

Job Description:
• Preparation of installation media for several products allowing automation of deployment (including creating of images)
•Monitor known issues and new releases of third party software used, assess the potential impact on deployed products and end customers, and initiate appropriate mitigation/update actions.
• Integrate application software releases in the complete deployed system software package. Carry out the formal release process for system software deployments, including the conduct of appropriate testing, preparation of release documentation and official hand over.
• Support the customer with software issue analysis, classification of support cases and with technical product training.
• Ensure the stable, secure and high performance operation of software systems deployed globally at customer sites
• Contribute to project release planning, technology roadmap preparation and progress assessments.
• Follow a structured and transparent approach to product IT platform development including an appropriate level of risk management, planning and quality assurance measures.
• Provide development support to the application development teams with regard to product IT infrastructure needs.

Technical experience
• Experience administrating/managing Windows based IT infrastructure
• Experience with managing deployments and releases of application from technical point of view
• Working understanding of Windows PowerShell, VBScript and Group Policy Objects
• Experience with IT testing
