Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

- In coordination with Spares Planning Specialist, maintain ERP system i.e., lead-times, minimum order quantities, safety stock, Min / Max parameters, replace and obsolete parts and order parameters and master data.
- Based on planning parameters, define / confirm quantities of spares to be ordered for fast moving parts / Buy to Stock parts in MU, issue purchase orders and carry out logistical coordination between suppliers and customer in MU, following up on delivery until final customer.
- Purchase all buy to order spares as well, including batteries and execute whole process of ordering until delivery and reception at local warehouse or customer.
- Communicate urgent requirements to suppliers and expedite urgent orders.
- Communicate with service MU warehouse to assure correct and timely reception of parts from Central WH / suppliers.
- In case of Export outside the EU, prepare all documentation in accordance with MU/customer requirements.
- Monitor spares KPIs and take corrective actions to continuously improve parts availability
- Together with Planning Specialist, measure trends, analyse root causes, and take proactive, cross-functional measures to improve MU Service level and balance MU inventory

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Educational Specialization

Business Administration, Logistics or Operations Management are plus

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1) and Spanish - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

• School Background
- University Degree (BS) in Business Administration, Logistics or Operations Management preferred or equivalent experience.

• Language skills
- Fluent in English and Spanish, Portuguese is advantage.

• Technical / Functional skills
- Experience as a material planner or buyer (preferably but not exclusively in a Service/spare parts environment)
- Working on a leading ERP environment
- Knowledge about planning techniques and purchasing and best practices
- Full computer literacy

• Attitudes
- Well organized and able to work under pressure
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Project management skills.
- Self-starter able to operate without direct supervision, prioritize tasks and respond quickly to changes.
