Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are currently looking to hire an Accounting Coordinator for 1 year in our office in Bratislava (temporary role, maternity cover).

Main purpose of the role is to:
• Secure quality and efficiency of accounting operations (Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger and others where applicable) in the country
• Actively support migrations to the Global Shared Service Centre(s)

Key responsibilities:
• Liaise with the AR, AP and GL GSSC country team in Krakow/Poland
• Statutory, legal and tax reporting
• Payroll
• Ensuring that any operational or performance issues escalated by involved parties get resolved in a timely and appropriate fashion
• Assisting with ECS processes
• Taking responsibility (or support the responsible CHO if other person) for country coordination and main point of contact for Internal and External audits for AP/AR/GL activities
• Expanding where relevant the GSSO service scope to the ‘target scope’ set by GSSO management
• Developing and implementing Operations improvement and standardization projects
• Developing and maintain a good network and open communication with GSSC
• Developing in cooperation with the Regional Operations / Migration Projects team a realistic short, mid and long term migration projects planning for the Country wherever applicable
• Seeking the buy-in from business managers in the Country for targeted migration scope, timing and approach
• Monitoring the execution of the short, mid and long term planning and to
timely and properly escalate the need to adapt the planning in case of changes in business reality (e.g. other projects, staff turnover, IT constraints, etc.)
• Monitoring, coaching and supporting GSSC work-shadowing team members to cooperate well together to complete the migration plan on time and budget, while quality of ongoing accounting operations continues to be secured
• Ensuring that any migration issues escalated by involved parties get resolved in a timely and appropriate fashion
• Monitoring whether expected quality and cost saving targets are achieved and to secure that corrective measures are put in place in case performance does not meet the targets

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)

Language skills

Slovak - Proficiency (C2) and English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting/controlling
• Experience in administrative processes in different kinds of companies (Production, sales, services, etc.)
• Accounting experience including local statutory and tax regulations
• Experience from leading / participating in administrative improvement projects is an advantage
• College or university degree in business administration/ economics/ finance
• Good MS office knowledge
• Experience in ERP ( SAP, Scala), MS Office
• Experience of working in a / within a multicultural, international environment is an advantage
• Full time dedicated
• Available to occasional travel to other group units when required
• Proactive, flexible, precise, team worker, ability to work under pressure, problem solving attitude.
