Self-reliant and pro-active behavior: Developer have to implement the plans of the project managers. Sometimes their information might be incomplete or might lead to conflicts elsewhere in the code. Developers need to recognize these problems, if possible solve alone, or report to the PM in a structured fashion.

Pragmatism and speed: devs have to produce a lot of code usually within short periods of time. Their job is to deliver. Most clients aren’t really interested into code quality. They want to see progress. So the developer therefore must always search pragmatically for a middle course between speed and maintainable code.

The most important skill: reliability in three dimensions.

Does he/she keep his own milestones?
How many bugs are to be expected in a finished piece of code? Does the developer fail to see obvious errors?
Is he easy to reach in case of emergency? How quick can he react?

We want organized people, that work during the daytimes (8.30-17.00). No nightworkers!
