Job description, responsibilities and duties
Financial controller is responsible for the financial health of an organization. You will produce financial reports, direct investment activities, and develop strategies and plans for the long-term financial goals of our plant.
Your main responsibility would be monitoring a company’s finances, do data analysis and advise senior managers on ideas to maximize profit. You will work in team with two accountants, acting as business advisor to top executives. Your typical activities will include the following:
- Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, and forecasts according to Group requirements, in high level of accuracy and on-time
- On a monthly basis comment the business performance regarding the financial statements to the Group management
- Monitor financial details to ensure that legal requirements are met, the corporate income tax, VAT and other applicable indirect taxes
- Review company financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs, inform management about any potential risks from plans
- You will be responsible for yearly Budget update based on Sales forecast in form of full financial statements and respective KPI planning
- Help management make financial decisions, including CAPEX acquisition requests, assessment of ROI, ROA, and EBITDA
- You will represent the company in front of banks, insurance companies, auditors, lawyers, tax advisors and other subjects/authorities
- You will be in charge to build and maintain the system of internal control. This will involve you with creation, publication and maintenance of internal financial guidelines and annual SODA update (Schedule of Delegated Authorities)
- You will assure compliance with local legislation in any point in time and timely inform management about any possible deviations and propose respective corrective measures
- Supervise employees who do financial reporting and budgeting (2 Accountants)
- Analyze market trends to find opportunities for expansion or for acquiring other companies
For this role, previous relevant experience with this activities in minimum of 2 years is essential!
You will report directly to the General Manager of the plant in Hurbanovo.
However you will communicate with other business partners abroad in the Group organisation so your communication in English is also essential for this role.
