Job description, responsibilities and duties

For dynamic and growing bank, we are looking for candidate, experienced in area of retail collections.

Place of work: Bratislava

Main responsibilities:
Running overall collection strategy (early, late and recovery stages); building up and improvement of collection processes. Hiring and managing collection team who will service multiple countries where the bank is present. Motivation of teams to reach performance goals, ensuring that the team fulfills metrics and daily targets. Fulfilment the business targets set.

- Running a collection shop, which will serve several countries simultaneously;
- Participating in the development process of collection policies, procedures and instructions, providing constant feedback on the improvement of system and/or processes;
- Hiring, training, motivating and supervising the collection team;
- Planning workloads, capacity and shifts;
- Developing and implementation of incentive schemes relating to the business targets;
- Daily, weekly and monthly monitoring and reporting on the team’s performance;
- Taking part in the decision of collection system implementation and being a business owner during collection system implementation project;
- Building up and maintain relationship with collection external agencies and development of strategy and processes of outsourcing accounts to them when needed;
- Completing relevant paperwork;
- Keeping up to date with local laws related to health, safety and equal opportunities
- In addition to the stated above, it is expected from the employee to perform additionally assigned tasks as defined and requested by Head of Risk Management

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- University degree in business administration, economics or technical degree
- At least 3 years’ experience in retail collections preferably in an international environment
- Strong operational background/knowledge
- Ambitious, self-motivated, career-oriented
- Outgoing personality and strong team player, strong communication and negotiation skills
- Capable of coaching, managing and building a teamwork environment
- Excellent working knowledge of spoken and written English, CEE language is desirable but not required
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment
