For our client, well-known leasing services provider, we are looking for candidate for position of Account payables accountant - with fluent German language. Place of work: Bratislava


Job description, responsibilities and duties:

•Report to Senior Accountant responsible for AP
•Sorting and distribution of incoming invoices
•Formal validation of scanned invoices in the system
•Processing car purchase invoices
•Processing bulk invoices (e.g. insurance, registration tax, fuel)
•Booking general expense invoices, credit notes
•Processing travel, petty cash expenses and employee declarations
•Accounting ledger maintenance
•Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
•Respond to vendor inquiries
•Assist in month end closing, perform account reconciliations and other controls
•Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
•Assist with other projects as needed

Language skills

English - Intermediate (B1) and German - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

•Able to communicate in English and Slovak language (written and spoken)
•Fluent knowledge of German is a a must

•Min. 1 year experience in the field of accounting
•Good understanding of double entry bookkeeping
•Basic knowledge of VAT rules
•Intermediate user of MS Excel
•Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
•Possess strong organizational and time management skills
•Strong problem solving skills and data analysis skills
•Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
•Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
•Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
