Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Works together with CZ e-commerce platform developers and UK architecture team on large scale e-commerce platform development
• Responsible for definition of platform technological vision, improvements and detailed plan preparation
• Responsible for development and maintenance of e-commerce platform
• Active participation in RFC feasibility analysis process
• Technical leadership of Solution Design process
• Technical coaching of developers
• Proactively propose improvements to achieve higher efficiency during development phase
• Proactively propose improvements to achieve higher stability of production system
• Communicates architectural visions with other architects, developers, analysts and project managers
• Continuously improves quality of code, platform & processes
• Hands on during high critical production incidents resolution
• Technical project team leadership

The successful candidate should have:

• Excellent knowledge of large web-facing production systems architecture
• Excellent knowledge of development based on OOP PHP, Oracle and Linux technologies
• Demonstrates proficiency in multiple areas of programming (web development, concurrency, etc.)
• Passion for proactive exploration of new technologies
• Good knowledge of Linux based infrastructure problematic
• Good knowledge of IT security
• Excellent communication skills
• Is able to understand/define pros and cons of different architecture approaches
• Good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility with a desire to maintain and improve current platform is must
• Adaptable, flexible and willing to learn
• Experience in same or similar seniority position
