Software Engineer

Developing and implementing solutions that meet the needs of the customer. This includes analysis of requirements, the design and build of solutions that may be off-the-shelf or through third-parties. Contributing to the provision of Quality Assurance, Configuration, Solving technical issues, Testing, Training or Documentation services required to successfully integrate and implement the final solution.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Technical design of systems and solutions in the assigned IT field
• Unit/Component test planning & delivery
• Support & Issue Resolution during Integration Tests & UAT
• RTP Package preparation
• Third Line Support & Maintenance
• Apply standard methodologies when creating new programs and applications

(developing and coding from specifications) or when maintaining existing ones

• Documenting work using the required standards, methods and tools e.g. producing program and system documentation
• Assisting in definition, initiation and design of architecture in projects/programs

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years’ experience in software engineering and methods
• Very good knowledge of Java best practices and technologies (JUnit, Groovy, Spring Framework, JSON, Smooks)
• Active usage of at least one Application Server (Tomcat, webMethods IS, WebLogic,…)
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural multi-functional environment where consensus is critical for success
• Experience with team development practices (SVN, SCRUM, CI Jenkins, Maven)
• Experience with unit, regression, performance testing
