Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Activation Consultant will connect applications, customers and their partners to the Descartes’ Global Logistics Network.
The successful candidate will be responsible for project and/or problem analysis, cooperation with various Descartes teams and for identification, implementation, testing, deployment and documentation of the trading partners.
Responsibilities:
• Interact with new and existing customers to complete requirements gathering, mapping specifications, and project objectives
• Evaluating customer EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) specifications to determine feasibility and time requirements for translation
• Develop and execute project plans
• Coordinates the implementation/activation with customer and other departments within Descartes
• Audit and monitor messaging traffic as project progresses
• Communicates with customer on progress of activation project
• Coordinates the resolution of issues as they arise
• Develop and maintain project documentation throughout the project and file in central repository at project close
• Provides ongoing support to other team members and colleagues

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
• General PC skills; must be considered technically savvy
