Key Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for preparing VAT returns and statistical reporting, working with external service providers in some cases to produce high-quality, accurate submissions by statutory deadlines;
Implement changes and new opportunities in European VAT law into reporting, advising other functions of relevant changes;
Proactively identify weaknesses in current processes and identify solutions;
Support the business in identifying the correct VAT treatment of transactions e.g. purchases and sales requirements;
Assistance in internal and external audits and liaising with relevant tax authorities on ad hoc queries;
Preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation relating to the VAT accounts
