Global Commodity Management Advisor - Technology Procurement

The Category Manager will develop and implement the Technology strategic sourcing plans. The role will provide procurement thought leadership and be able to influence global business partners and key stakeholders to consider new and creative strategies in solving business and procurement challenges.
Critical responsibilities include:
•Development of multi-year strategy for assigned category or categories
•Driving alignment between Dell business strategy, procurement strategy, and supplier strategy
•Rationalizing the supplier base and developing Preferred Vendor Lists (PVLs)
•Developing annual sourcing plans and conducting e-sourcing in Ariba
•Understanding key cost drivers and developing should-cost models
•Negotiating cost and contract terms as appropriate
•Collaborating with suppliers to improve performance, innovate and reduce supplier risk
