Key Responsibilities
Dell’s Vendor Management Office is hiring a Vendor Contract Renewals Analyst to manage a pipeline of vendor expenditures for a $200M annual budget with the objective to ensure accuracy, completion and reduce costs. The vendor base is comprised of roughly 250 vendors, each with separate commercial contracts and terms for renewals, payment terms, etc.
• Owning, planning, assigning work and ensuring completion of required tasks of the vendor agreement renewal pipeline.
• Develop priorities and enlist support for action around upcoming renewals, along with assigning needed work to others within team, IT and wider Dell organization.
• Prompt completion for all needed activities for renewals are completed by assigned owners; create and publish regular status reports on progress.
• Conduct needed investigation on each renewal to aid in developing priorities and action plans for renewals.
• Work directly with vendors to resolve issues and research agreements terms and payment details.
• Expertise in payment systems and process to include Ariba, xls, Accounts Payable, Finance, etc. to work payments through complete process within Dell and be able to troubleshoot issues and resolve.
• Train, coach and provide advisement to individuals creating PO’s.
Essential Requirements
• 4+ years of program or vendor management or negotiation experience, with budget impact
• Intense focus on details and accuracy; intellectual curiosity, ability to drive for results and closure
• Creativity and tenacity in identifying new areas to eliminate or reduce costs
• Ability to manage many details and pieces of information, separate processes and cycles occurring at once.
• Confidence and assertiveness when engaging with outside vendors
• Excellent Excel skills including pivot tables and formulas, Ariba
• Bachelors degree
