Dell’s Online Engineering organization is hiring a Digital analytics Usability Sr. Engineer to be part of the analytics team focused on the development and optimization of Dell’s Commercial Online Experience applications. The Team drives analysis to influence the engineering development roadmap and ongoing optimization. Also includes support of the ongoing run-the-business usage of the applications.
The team needs individuals with Digital analytic knowledge to deliver high value insight and recommendations. We are looking for a candidate who has a strong background in Digital analytics, with proven abilities to be innovative and creative, as well as strong collaborator and communicator.
The person will be responsible for undertaking analysis, reporting metrics and pulling data to understand and help improve the performance of various on-going engineering development initiatives.
The candidate will have hands-on analytics capabilities, expertise in analytical problem-solving techniques and frameworks and the ability to deal with large volumes of data.
Job Accountabilities:
Analyzes online customer behavior and online business performance, designing and developing new and innovative analytics methods
Uses analytics tools such as Clickstream Analysis, SiteCatalyst, Discover, and Insights to conduct analysis
Provides actionable recommendations on how to optimize the online business
Defines and manages an analytics roadmap
Executes online analytics and provides bi-weekly progress updates
Helps present findings to key stakeholders
Proactively introduce new ideas for client initiatives;
Establish relationship with key business partners or Point of Contacts to accelerate issues fix;

Understanding of Online e-Commerce experience (pre-purchase, purchase path, post purchase) is a plus
Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey analytic insights effectively to both IT and business audiences
Strong teamwork, business acumen, and customer advocacy skills
Strong presentation, leadership, business influence, and project management skills
Team work spirit and enable to be part of a global team, with remote leaders and peers;
Capability to identify and troubleshoot potential Business issues;
Familiar with Microsoft Office package, specially Excel and Power Point;
Knowledge and understanding in interactive online business is considered a plus.
Qualifications:
A diploma or bachelor degree in Computer/IT, Marketing, Statistics or Business Degree, or equivalent professional experience
6-8 years of relevant experience in e-Commerce and Online Analytics
Experience with statistical tools like SAS, Statistica, and/or JMP
Experience with large, high-volume web sites
