Are you familiar with hydraulics and technically accomplished in understanding customer applications? Do you have a proven track record of determining business needs and solutions? Then you might be our new Product Application Engineer, who will be reporting to Manager Product Application Engineering within Danfoss Power Solutions Turolla plant. You will be part of the local team which has good mix of experienced professionals and young talent. You will be responsible for Gear motors and Gear pumps.

You will be part of sales and marketing department in Turolla business unit. As a world leader in hydraulic and electrohydraulic solutions for off-highway equipment, Turolla offers a vast array of components and systems to meet the needs of OEMs in many sectors, ranging from agriculture, construction and turf care, to road building, material handling, marine, forestry and other industries.

You will own end-to-end requirement gathering, analysis, product and technical support
Bringing in your technical and product expertise, you will provide technical pre-sales and after-sales support for our main products - gear motor and gear pumps. You will work on global market and some strategic projects. Working with the Product Market Manager and development teams, you will execute pilot projects, participate in route cause identification to support the service part, deal with prototypes and bring new products to market. You will also support quality issues and provide training for customers. You will take ownership on the products that makes a sustainable difference to peoples’ lives around the globe.

You will be responsible for

• Working with engineers, customers, senior management and other cross functional teams to position our business early in the project phase
• Assisting the sales team by process the opportunity (specs, plans, drawings etc.) and deliver items for sales people to quote
• Assisting with creating/maintaining product marketing docs and tech data libraries
• Assisting sales in communication with engineers to understand what we offer and how/why our product will meet or exceed their needs
• Participating/leading in customer presentations, product discussions, negotiations, conference call and other front line marketing/sales efforts
• Assisting internal quality/service teams with root cause analysis and failure report on returned product and help to write a formal tech reports

What we look for

• Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics, contract specs and value engineering documents
• Knowledge in electrical motors or electronic controls would be an asset
• Strong skills with Office tools
• Technical, planning, organizational and project management skills
• Oral, written and telephonic communication English
• Quality certification is a plus
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations approx. 1-2 per month
