Job description, responsibilities and duties
Line/Leadership responsibility for Finance, Controlling, IT, HR and Project Management
Optimizes liquidity management, asset sales & financial restructuring/optimization
Financing, Treasury and Working Capital Management with the clear goal to improve the company’s profitability and financial performance
Targets savings against budget to stabilize the short-/mid-term result
Gets under the skin of the business and scrutinises the cash and profit drivers including systems and processes; assesses, prioritizes and interprets the numbers in a commercial manner and deduces the right actions
Keeps senior management constantly informed
Leads and develops dedicated staff
Liaises with banks, auditors etc.

English - Upper intermediate (B2) or Slovak - Proficiency (C2) or Czech - Proficiency (C2) or German - Intermediate (B1)
Personality requirements and skills
Several years of experience as CFO, Finance Director, Commercial Director etc.
Wide general management skills and experience with turnaround situations; shows a proven and successful track record of turnaround projects and has already led businesses through a period of significant change
Know-how in wholesale operations and logistics; understands the value chain and sets the right actions via seeing the big picture
Prior experience of working in a privately owned business and an understanding of the private equity mind-set (i.e. focus on cash, EBITDA and cost-consciousness) would be ideal
Assimilates him/herself swiftly into the organization based on natural leadership, an open personality and excellent communication skills
Ability to manage diverse relationships (internally and externally) via practical business background, hands-on/down to earth mentality and authenticity
Assertive leader with strong people orientation/focus combined and a high level of tact
Strong sense of urgency, good priority setting, action orientation and drive for results
Ideally shows potential to make the step up as CEO
M&A experience would be beneficial
Fluency in Slovak/Czech and English; German is nice to have
