YOUR  JOB:

• contribute in developing analytics services in tight collaboration with internal business experts and clients.
• Generating business insights using data analytics and information visualisation methods
• Developing business solutions to exploit Analytics in order to move towards data-driven innovation
• key words: data & text mining, machine learning and information visualisation
• Build scalable data processing pipelines using a blend of traditional technologies (relational databases, scripting) and Hadoop/Spark
• Drive the data engineering part of analytics projects from inception to completion with minimal guidance
• Apply analytical methods and algorithms to build data products that streamline the process from data collection to insight generation.
• Generate various reports and analysis by querying data residing in various databases/file systems
• Contribute in an agile team of data scientists to develop and deploy data-driven solutions
• Enhance analytics capabilities in data engineering in interplay with system engineers, solution architects and data scientists
• the team supports  business functions in generating insights and creating data driven products from structured and unstructured data for their business and strategic initiatives.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Experience in building large-scale data pipelines with Hadoop/Spark 
• Familiar working with relational data stores (e.g. Oracle), as well as NoSQL data stores (e.g. MongoDB).
• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java or Scala
• Fluency in relational databases/SQL.
• Strong skills in computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval.
• Experience in analytics (machine learning, data mining) nice to have
• Excellent verbal and written English skills
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and multi-cultural environment
• High degree of flexibility, independent and proactive working style 
• Flexibility to travel
