Job description, responsibilities and duties

YOUR JOB:

  • responsible for leading full life-cycle execution of mid-sized IT projects from project planning, execution and implementation of technology-enabled solutions for the global Human Resources (HR) and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) organizations
  • Collaborates with IT, HR and EHS management (at the Corporate level and in all regions) to ensure global alignment and consistency
  • Partners with IT Technical Managers and IT Business Analysts to ensure projects meet stated objectives and are on time and within budget. 
  • Manages the planning and implementation of technology related projects (e. g. Workday, Taleo, ProcessMap,Payroll and T&A integrations) 
  • defines implementation plans to deliver on global strategies which meet regional requirements. Ensures global alignment and consistency while effectively balancing global, regional and local needs.
  • Ensures that planning approach is consistent with the company’s IT project implementation methodology. 
  • Works closely with IT Technical Managers and/or IT Business Analysts to identify application support requirements and ensures smooth transition of development projects to support the organization.
  • Ensures that quality assurance actions (e.g. document control, program change control, unit testing, integration testing and business process testing) are defined and carried out rigorously so that customer expectations and project objectives are fully met.
  • Coordinates and manages vendors and all external resources identified within the project scope to ensure that the project is successful.

YOUR SKILLS:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in applications design, development, testing and implementation of business applications (preferably Human Capital Management related).
  • At least 3-5 years of experience managing HR Technology projects  on a regional or global basis is highly desired.
  • Extensive experience with the  HCM applications is highly desired.
  • project management certification preferred (e.g. PMP or PRINCE2 accreditation)
  • Previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement, utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change; business systems analysis experience.
  • Experience implementing technology in multiple countries across multiple regions of the world. 
  • Strong project management background with expertise in project planning and execution. Through understanding of resource planning, scope control, budget management, risk and issue management. Thorough understanding of applications development methodologies, standards and best practices.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with functional and technical teams.
  • Proven experience with business change management and communications.
  • Experience in managing suppliers and vendors during project execution.
