Lead accountant RTR Bank Accounting

Bank accounting team is responsible for payment and receipts clearing as per bank statements on a daily basis, follow up items which are not cleared and further investigation of unreconciled statement items etc. (Clearing of Treasury transfers, Intercompany pooled transaction postings, Interest reconciliation)

Responsibilities: 

• Leading and developing the team (various levels of accountant professionals)
• Managing and motivating team members
• Coordinate accounting activities at department
• Supporting Bank accounting team members with daily issues
• Supporting direct supervisor with solving escalation issues
• Responsibility for timely and accurate postings processed by the team
• Reviewing bank account monthly reconciliations according to internal rules and policies as well as according to US GAAP
• Making sure deadlines are met and priorities are balanced accordingly within month and during month end closings
• Communication with other departments, treasury as well as with internal customers from respective regions within team responsibility

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or relevant working experience
• Good Excel knowledge
• Good accounting knowledge
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• 3 years experience in accounting within international company
• People management experience
• Very good communication skills
