Team leader for Data services department

• You will lead a data analyst team that manages and perform the start-to-end process of data preparation used for actuarial modelling work. Y
• You and your team will also support data preparation and analysis for deal costing work.
• As team leader of this newly created team, we look for strong leadership skills in setting up and developing the team
• Collect, collate and analyse data required for costing model and parameter update studies.
• Review insurance submission data for accuracy and completeness.
• Systematically input account information and historical loss data into our internal system and tools and review them to ensure entered values are correct.
• Work closely with underwriting and actuarial teams to communicate missing data, potential errors, and unusual situations.
• Compile and categorize data for use in development of new models and rating methods.
• Work on process improvements and their implementation.
• Occasional travel 

YOUR PROFILE:

• English - Upper intermediate (B2)
• At least 5 years of similar working experience 
• Proven record of leading and developing teams.
• Experience in managing a data team would be an advantage.
• Ability to interpret figures, identify missing information, collaborate with others to fix data issues, and ensure accurate data entry in a timely manner.
• Strong working knowledge in MS Office (especially Excel) and MS Access
• Programming skills (e.g. VBA) and ability to run Database queries will be an advantage.
• Result-oriented, demonstrated ability to set and manage the right priorities and execute effective planning and is committed to achieving high quality results on time.
• Strong client orientation.
