Job description, responsibilities and duties
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Tester's main role is to test the software developed to meet internal and customers' specifications.
- test for correctness, completeness, security and quality of the software
- cooperate with developers on every day basis
- provide feedback to developers regarding user experience and functionality
- functional, performance, automated and release testing
- reporting bug reports to issue tracking system
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Intermediate English language (at least reading and writing).
- Previous experience with software testing (at least 6 months, ideally 1 year).
- Basic knowledge of programming and development life cycle.
- Ability to create test scenarios based on dialogue with developers.
- Ability and willingness to manually test both graphical user interface and functionality.
Any of these skills are advantage:
- knowledge of Linux at user level.
- Python scripting.
- Squish automated testing.
- experience with Issue tracking system.
