Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
Responsibilities:
- Proper operation related to AP evidence and accounting
- Timely and accurate settlements to third parties
- Proper allocation of costs into accounting periods (e.g. amortization, period split, etc.)
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of tax related data
- Maintain Cost ledger structure
- Ensure accurate and timely closure of the books
- Apply in depth knowledge accounting and control principles in systems design
- Test and implement legislation and other approved system changes
- Ensure effective collaboration between business units and center of Excellence
- Participate in onboarding of new legal entities (migration, transfers to Bratislava)
Requirements:
- Fluent English- written and spoken
- At least 3 years of professional experience as complex/independent Accountant
- Deep knowledge of accounting standards
- Understanding/knowledge of tax principles (VAT, CIT)
- Ability to independently run a ledger
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally is a MUST (approximately 20%)
- Experience with transfers of processes is a great advantage
