Senior System Analyst

Responsibilities:
We are searching for somebody with strong background in data analysis and web application requirements/design, responsible for analyzing data, developing logical data models, gathering/preparing user/system requirements, designing decision support and workflow management applications.

• Work closely with application user teams to understand their processes and requirements.
• Document the user requirements and work with the programmers to prepare the system specifications.
• Prepare the application/feature design and obtain buy in from the user teams.
• Perform process mapping and/or process re-engineering for proposed enhancements or improvements.
• Conduct data analysis, identify/validate data elements and identify data sources to extract data from. Prepare prototype reports to test the data availability/quality.
• Work with Programmers and develop action plans to deliver multiple releases in a year per schedule. Manage and coordinate development, test and implementation activities with programmers to ensure successful releases.
• Work with programmers to ensure the features are implemented according to the design and delivered in a timely fashion.
• Prepare test cases and test features prior to delivery.
• Prepare job aid for the features and conduct training for the user teams.
• Work with the user teams and be available/responsive to address their questions/issues regarding the use of the application supporting everyday activities.
• Manage and maintain active user profile, roles, functions and access to application.
• Troubleshoot system or data issues that clients face. Coordinate with other teams to perform data mining to expose the root cause of the problems. Develop and implement action plans to address these issues.

Requirements:

• Interfacing with application users, gathering/documenting user requirements
• Preparing systems requirements, feature design
• Interfacing with the programmers to articulate design/requirements for development team
• Data analytics, data mining
• Oracle/SQL knowledge, extracting data, data analysis/validation
• Developing prototypes/testing/validation
• Web Applications/Database Design
• Risk/Gap Analysis
• MS office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visual Basic)
• Telecommunication experience is desirable
• Minimum of 5 year experience in Systems Engineering/Analytics/Web Application Design
