Job description, responsibilities and duties

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a trusted relationship with our internal customers
  • Have a good understanding of business issues and challenges
  • Rationalize and challenge requirements and processes together with the business to drive focus on high value improvements
  • Capture complex business requirements and define corresponding solutions working closely with the business community
  • Lead and manage usability and business analysis and systems analysis initiatives for complex problems in Life & Health areas
  • Develop business functional specifications, system design specifications and data-related artefacts
  • Gain and maintain extensive knowledge of Swiss Re internal Life & Health and global Swiss Re applications and information / data
  • Ensure transparency and consensus by continuous communication and active expectations management with all stakeholders
  • Support production incident and problem management and support production Go-Live activities as it relates to usability
  • Responsible for delivery and project management of initiatives.
  • Translate business requirements into system production solution design and patterns, which enables quality, re-usability, scalability availability and maintainability in accordance with the overall Business Strategy and IT standards

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis and data / information modelling
  • Strong customer orientation and business focus
  • Experience in understanding performance issues and tuning queries
  • Experience in working with high volume environment
  • Knowledge of L&H Domain and/or lines of business helpful
  • Create and update documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Accomplished interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a clear and articulate standard of written and verbal communication in complex environments
  • Ability to manage own workload; self-directed
  • Well-experienced in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile SCRUM methodologies
  • Experienced in working with a diverse multi-locational team of internal and external professionals
  • Innovation with quick work around solutions, while also working on developing optimized permanent solutions
  • Diligence in managing documentation requirements.
