Senior Supply Chain Analyst

Responsibilities: 

Implementation and control of transport network and visibility, standardized freight order-to-pay processes and efficient packaging usage: 

• Execution of the strategic transport desk activities together with plants and support operational transport desk towards the plants 
• Implementation of the Strategic Transport desk for all plants in the defined regional responsibility 
• Analyze, propose and support logistics plant managers with implementation of Packaging/Freight savings projects and standardization initiatives in order to reach profit plan figures
• Continuously audit and improve plant freight structure in line with Network Design 
• Weekly document, report and follow-up improvement measures and implementation status per plant and deliver to the financial analyst of the Transport Desk 

Implementation and Execution of SCM standards on freight and related processes based upon BBP in line with SCM Operations/Purchasing strategy and vision (Europe and global) and HS&E requirements: 

• Recognize and document BBP in plants; synergies between plants in region and across regions 
• Support design/development, implementation and roll-out/training of Transport Network and Packaging Standards 

Support Operational Transport Desk and SCM Purchasing for all plants in the defined regional responsibility: 

• Ensure data gathering from plants to the Operational Transport Desk 
• Initial mapping and continuously auditing and improving plant freight planning and control processes in line with Operational Transport Desk set-up and requirements 
• Provide systems training/expertise for Transport Desk related processes to the plants SCM personnel, suppliers and forwarders
• Support implementation of SCM purchasing sourcing decisions (forwarder change) 

Requirements: 

• Fluent English (written and spoken) is a must  
• Management or Engineering University education  
• 3-5 years’ experience in the area of expediting/logistics planning (in automotive or other high volume industries’ plant or forwarder/logistics service provider) 
• Understanding of transport logistics and market
• Advanced computer skills (MS Office) 
• Logistics skills (packaging, transport, warehousing)
