Payroll Accountant

Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Check and prepare the Payroll journal specific by country
• Complete the preparation and posting of accruals as required as a part of the monthly financial reporting process
• Calculate commissions
• Preparation of headcount stats
• Balance sheet reconciliations, review of income statement and balance sheet discrepancies
• Perform sales and gross margin reconciliations and accompanying analysis
• Complete assigned accounting activities to support the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and local GAAP accounting rules, where applicable

Requirements

• College/University degree in Economics preferred (or professional experience in accounting)
• Fluent English is a must
• At least 2 years of previous experience in Accounting (preferably complex accounting)
• Accounting certification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA would be an advantage
