Senior Unix administrator

responsibility for the delivery of excellent Unix services towards the trade customers

This includes the lead or participation in technical projects, consulting and development of standards in your area of expertise as well as the delivery of support services.
you will act as the main technical interface to this customer and you will successively also take over account management duties.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Consultation, implementation and system management
• Designing system solutions based on requests and needs
• Participate and analyze of system performance and device type selection
• Identification and problem solving
• Coordination of support teams in order to ensure high availability, capacity and customer satisfaction
• Keeping contact with the customer
• Creating system documentation


Required Knowledge

• 3-5 years of engineering and operational experience with Unix operating system installation, administration - HP-UX or Linux
• Experience with architecting solutions that integrate database, storage and UNIX technologies a plus
• Good understanding of high availability environments, HA cluster knowledge
• Good Project management skills.
•  Used to working in international environment, with numerous servers
• Experience in an international environment is an advantage
• Significant systems programming and system administration experience in a production UNIX operating system environment.
• Fluent in English
