We are looking for an analytical and skilled Sales Planning Analyst who will be supporting the Sales Infrastructure Team in the annual target setting process by partnering with Commercial Operation team and ensuring the sales territory alignment, sales roles, sales plans and annual sales targets are set up correctly. The Sales Planning Analyst, in the collaboration with IS team, will be responsible for building, improving and maintaining tools used for Sales Hierarchy reconciliation and target setting process. The Covidien European Sales Hierarchy is a matrix of all people, products, customers and territories, which enables sales to be correctly attributed to Territories and Sales Team so that it can then be linked to the Sales Representative or Sales Manager. The Sales Hierarchy data are used as a basis for reporting sales by territory and for calculating sales incentives for Sales Representative and Sales Managers.

Key Responsibilities of the Sales Planning Analyst
  • Reconcile the current Covidien European Sales Hierarchy with the future business needs and ensure its accuracy for output to other subsystems
  • Ensure that the reconciliation of annual targets set up by country Financial Controllers fits business requirements
  • Work with in country teams in Europe to scout for business changes and get approval for such changes
  • Provide explanation of the sales hierarchy set up to business leaders which requires deep data analyses for data integrity, consistency and enforce business rules
  • Analytical support of current business procedures, and formulate recommendations for process improvements, building and maintaining tools for internal effective support and further improvements
Skills & Qualifications of the Sales Planning Analyst
  • Degree in Business Management, Finance, IT or other related field preferred
  • Excellent Excel knowledge and familiarity with Access; knowledge of Varicent, Salesforce or Cognos is a big plus
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking, requires strong attention to detail
  • Fluent professional English + Italian or German
