Country Controller for EMEA/LATAM

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The position holder as team member of "Reporting & Analytics Services" ensures an effective global Controlling support for Covestro on country level. The function provides analytical Controlling services and acts as the first and central point of contact for the country Managing Director with regard to all Controlling questions related to country specifics. Herewith the function also acts as coordinator between Corporate/ Business Entity Controlling and the country organizations. Moreover, the job holder provides consistent analyses forward steering-relevant topics for all countries.

Major Tasks & responsibilities:

• Support initiatives to optimize Controlling processes, in particular ensure interface function with Managing Directors
• Support global roll-out of Corporate Controlling standards and processes to ensure consistent and harmonized Controlling approach for the country organizations
• Perform financial planning and forecast activities as a key player in several global processes (e.g. Tax: Advance payments, Accounting: Impairment test, Finance: Liquidity planning)
• Conduct coordinated ad-hoc analyses in alignment with Managing Directors and other local stakeholders
• Drive and support local projects together with Managing Directors (country council)
• Conduct benchmark analyses on Controlling topics, share findings and derive recommendations

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• MBA or comparable university degree preferably in business, economics or a comparable branch of study
• 1-2 years experience in a financial function, controlling
• Strong analytical skills
• Proactive, result-driven and customer-oriented mindset
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Team player with sense for initiative
• Affinity with different cultures
• Statistical skills and knowledge of R / Python are a plus
• English fluent, both spoken and written

Salary

2 000 EUR/monthThe minimum salary is 2000 EUR/month. The basic salary can be higher depending on the skills and previous experience of the candidate.
