Senior Accountant Accounts Payable - Key User SAP

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Major tasks and responsibilities of Senior Accountant AP include:

• Process invoices until the release of payment
• Handle internal and external communication
• Vendor account maintenance and closing activities
• Ensure the understanding and compliant service delivery across Covestro AG of agreed policies and procedures by team members.
• Key User for the applications used by the Accounts Payable team (e.g. SAP, SAP-VIM, YourDoces) – supporting the Accounts Payable team in case of the usual/ repeated issues
• Responsible for opening the IT tickets for the Accounts Payable applications in case the issue cannot be resolved by the Key User, and pro-actively follow up with the IT ticket assignees till the successful follow up (especially in case of the critical issues)
• Participate in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the applications and provide the relevant feedback

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Degree in Economics or Business Administration with major in accounting.
• Approximately 3-5 years of experience in the area of Accounting (Ideally in a SSC).
• Proven experience in Accounts Payable processes in a complex and international business environment.
• Ability to adapt to new culture and people.
• Ability/willingness to travel for a longer period
• Fluent level of English
