Job description, responsibilities and duties
Summary of Job Purpose:
• Overall Test Strategy formulation for the program by working with various function leads - Including Functional, Non-functional, Automation , Test Environment requirements, Support for UAT,OAT
• Setup distributed testing teams across geographies and ensure smooth programme test planning/ designing and execution
• Forecast team requirements and ability to structure an effective testing organisation
• Preparing detailed estimations and end to end test schedule
• Plan for collecting and reporting various testing metrics at the project/ programme level
• Testing RAIDs management and reporting to the Program Manager
• Managing the process for creation and maintenance of test artifacts(test cases, scripts, execution history etc)
• Manage Test Environments allocated for the programme
• Managing the defects
• Produce a Monthly Dashboard outlining Cognizant Performance as a supplier and presentation to internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinating with business team and supporting during UAT phase

• Good understanding of various Software Development Life Cycle Models such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Iterative and V-model
• Adept in Industry standard best practices in testing aligned with ISTQB and models for test maturity such as TMMi
• Deep knowledge of industry trends (particular to payments, ATM’s, credit/debit card processing) in testing and ability to provide thought leadership and direction to test teams and other ADM teams in areas related to QA and testing. Base 24 expereince is required.
• Understanding of Test Environments for Functional, Non-Functional and UAT
• Understanding of Configuration and Release Management Processes & Techniques
• Understanding of Test Data setup and delivery
• Understanding of Automation Framework & Techniques
• Understanding of one more databases such as Oracle or SQL is a plus
• Understanding of Organisational Dynamics
• Experience of Test Delivery as a Programme Test Manager
• Demonstrated ability of managing large programmes
• Experience as the Head of the test function for small/medium sized organisations
• Experience of working in a Global Delivery Model and complex organisation structure in a multi partner environment
Qualifications:
• Graduate Degree level in Science / Engineering / Technology / Management or equivalent
• Desirable - Industry Project/Programme Management certification such as MSP, PRINCE2, PMP
• Desirable - Industry certification in Testing such as ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA
