Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Delivering the Citibank Slovakia audits (risk-based, regulatory and branch exams) to the time commitments and ensuring quality in the work performed and reports produced.
• Ensures the Country Manager, in-country management, and local governance committees receive prompt, timing and complete information relating to the activities of Internal Audit.
• Completes assigned audits within budgeted timeframes, and budgeted costs.
• Contributes to the development of audit processes improvements.
• Monitors the risk environment and assesses the emerging risks through the Business Monitoring process
• Advising on the resolution of issues and concerns to senior management and regulatory agencies as required.
• Reviewing policy and procedure changes to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Meet all the regulatory requirements for Internal Audit in respect of providing Internal Audit services to Slovakian branch and the Citibank Europe plc legal entity.

Personality requirements and skills

• Professional qualification (ACCA,CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA or similar) are a plus.
• Intermediate level experience in a related role with experience in business, functional and people management, with proven abilities in taking responsibility for issuing to stakeholders high quality deliverables according to strict timetables.
• Solid business understanding of banking products, especially those associated with the Trade, Cash, Cards and Securities businesses.
• Effective negotiation skills, a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues and strength in sustaining independent views.
• Understanding and practical application of Risk Based Auditing methodology.
• Strong project management and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written and ability to interact confidently with internal clients, external Auditors and Regulators.
• Willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice as this role requires up to approximately 40% business travel within the region.
• Good organizational skills and ability to work proactively without close supervision.
• Ability to manage conflict and work under pressure.
• Strong team player, able to build and leverage relationships across the organization.
• Fluency in other European languages an advantage.
