We are now recruiting talented graduates for our 2017 European Packaging Graduate Programme


DS Smith is a leading provider of corrugated packaging in Europe and a specialist in plastic packaging worldwide. In order to support our corrugated packaging operations, we have a recycling business that collects used paper and cardboard, which is then used to make recycled paper by our paper manufacturing facilities. The paper is then in turn made into corrugated packaging. We operate across 36 countries and employ over 26.000 people. In the Packaging Division we work in partnership with our customers to continually develop innovations, ensuring that the packaging solutions we provide generate more sales while reducing cost and managing risk. Our product portfolio includes transit cases, consumer boxes, retail and shelf ready packaging, corrugated packs printed for gift and point of sales displays and heavy duty industrial products.

The Programme:

Whether you join our Operations or Sales Programme, it’s a 2 year programme within the Packaging Division, starting in October 2017, including 4 different placements to give you broad exposure and in-depth knowledge of the business and also to enable you to discover where you’re at your best.

This program has been designed to offer early talents the opportunity to rapidly move into managerial roles.
During the programme, you’ll have exposure to the leaders of our business and you’ll have great networking opportunities both with them and with other graduates already working in the business
You will be given the opportunity to gain solid professional experience, working on strategic projects which will develop your leadership skills.
Given our European footprint, we are offering real international career opportunities; at least one of your assignments during this program will be abroad.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for ambitious recent / soon to be graduates who have a track record of real achievement, significant leadership potential and a strong interest in pursuing a career in a dynamic and challenging manufacturing company.
Participants will be expected to rapidly produce tangible results in key areas and will gain a broader view of our business even outside of your initial area of expertise.
