Job description, responsibilities and duties

As an engineer in the Cryogenics operations team, you will:


Take the responsibility for the operation of the Central liquefier, the cryogenic test facility and the cryogenics for experiments.

Lead a small team of technicians responsible for the daily operation of cryogenic equipment.

Be responsible for planning the yearly operating, shut-down and maintenance periods, in coordination with the respective clients and the support sections (mechanical, electrical and controls).

Define operation procedures, control specifications, and process calculations.

Manage technical and production follow-up documentation.

Resolve non-routine problems concerning operation, maintenance, process and controls.


The work requires collaboration with people and services inside and outside the Organization.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Intermediate (B1)

Personality requirements and skills

Qualification required

Master's degree in the field of in the field of mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, process engineering, or equivalent.


The experience required for this post is:

Experience in the field of operation and maintenance of industrial process installations.
Experience with the following process equipment: compressors, pumps, control valves, heat exchangers, gas expansion turbines.
Experience of cryogenics would be an asset.



The technical competencies required for this post are:

Design of process control functional analysis / requirement analysis.
Knowledge of thermodynamics: and fluid dynamics.
