Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
o Propose quickly efficient and economic logistic solutions to internal customers (sales and production departments in priority).
o Logistics solution involves transport solution (truck, train, barge, container, pallets,…), handling solution, external storage solution, customs clearance solution,…and information flow
o Following transport purchasing procedure, support Area SC manager for organizing transport tenders and negotiating transport contracts for all transport flows
o Act within local SC team in transport ordering / transport execution / transport prebilling / transport invoices verification processes, according needs and instructions of area SC mgr. Solve the operational transport problems when necessary.
o Maintain data in SAP ERP system (transport master data, stock transfer orders, transport price conditions, purchase orders for logistics services, …).
o Measure cost-efficiency of transport flows through accurate transport KPIs/cost reporting and analysis. Support implementation and measurement of new supply chain KPIs when relevant
o Sales forecasting and demand planning
o Plant-customer allocation – coordinate decision process for deciding which plant will supply customer
o Production planning
o Replenishment & transport planning to stock (stone, fuel,…).
o Monitoring of stock levels at various storage locations.
