Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Production Manager is responsible for running the production in the most efficient way, using operators and equipment as efficient as possible to produce the required amount of products in the required quality. Using lean techniques, he / she continuously increases productivity and quality.

Essential Duties:
• overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule;
• monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed;
• making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality;
• ensuring that the production is cost effective;
• working out the human and material resources needed;
• drafting a timescale for the job;
• estimating costs and setting the quality standards;
• supervising and motivating a team of workers;
• being responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment;
• monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control programmes;
• liaising among different departments, e.g. suppliers, managers;
• working with managers to implement the company's policies and goals;

Responsibilities & Competencies:
• job safety and risk management;
• ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed;
• reviewing worker performance;
• identifying training needs.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) or Slovak - Proficiency (C2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Education from Technical University in Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry
• Over 10 years proven experience in production / operations
• Preferred global/international business experience
• Lean production
• Advanced knowledge of English language and fluent Slovak
• Good IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), ERP background – SAP preferred but not mandatory
