Job description, responsibilities and duties
Purpose of the job:
Design of tooling for R&D department: moulds for RTM, press-moulding, plastic injection moulding. Assembly, checking and bonding jigs design. Preparation of CAM programs for CNC 5-axis milling machines. Tooling production supervision.
The key responsibilities of this position is as outline below:
Team Support
1. Support R&D team in field of tooling design.
2. Cooperation with tool shop to manufacture prototype moulds.
3. Purchasing of materials and hardware for prototype mould manufacturing
Engineering
4. CAD design of tooling, release of design documentation (3D models, drawings, bills of materials)
5. Programming of 5-axis milling machines to produce prototype tooling
6. Supervision of tool production at the toolshop

Personality requirements and skills
Qualification and experience:
B.Sc. in engineering or higher
Minimum 5 years of experience in plastic injection mould design or equivalent.
Strong skills in one of CAD/CAM systems
Competencies (technical / personal attributes):
Multi-piece complex mould design experience
Advanced user of CAD/CAM software, CATIA V5 or SolidWorks/SolidCAM preferred.
Good oral and written communication skills in English
Creative approach to work, with focus on innovation and new technologies
Good analytical and planning skills, ability to work with suppliers in the field of tooling/materials/technology
B.Sc. in engineering or higher
