Job description, responsibilities and duties

Administration and organisation of UK exams across Slovakia dealing directly with candidates, examiners and other key customers. This post will also support our office-wide Customer Service Team in Bratislava.

Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties:
-To support the growth and recognition of British examinations in Slovakia
-The core of the activity would be dedicated to Cambridge English examinations administration
-To co-ordinate the administration and delivery of IELTS, and other examinations including Aptis, professional, school and university examinations for specific groups to high standards
-To ensure that all awarding body requirements are met
-To provide information for reconciliation, management reports & promotion
-To support the British Council Exam Centre Network
-To manage delivery of exam sessions exam papers, exam venues and exam staff including the recruitment, training and payment of invigilators, markers
-To monitor and administer Speaking Examiner agenda (excluding recruitment)
-To be responsible for the management and supervision of invigilators
-To provide support to ESM in promoting examination
-To attend fairs, certificate award ceremonies, parents evenings etc if necessary

This full-time post will be for 35 working hours per week scheduled normally from 09.00 - 17.00. Flexibility in working hours is required to cover peak exams periods, to cover for an absent colleague. As many exams are held on Saturdays this post will be required to work at weekends on a regular basis and occasional travel to external venues will be required.

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and Slovak - Proficiency (C2)

Personality requirements and skills

-A high level of written and spoken English (C1 and above) as well as native speaker competence in Slovak
-Office experience at least 2 years
-Communication skills
-Organisation and planning skills
-Ability to work accurately and to deadlines under pressure
-Ability to put the needs of the team or British Council ahead of my own
-IT skills: to use MS Office and ability to learn new platforms
