Job description, responsibilities and duties

Responsibilities:

Together with 3 colleagues, you are responsible for
• the development of thousands of formulations for our decorative paints
• giving 100% colour accuracy to our paints within the preconceived deadlines.
• The production of different types of wall-stickers


Therefore you will be
• weighing paints and pigment pastes
• mixing small amounts of paint and pastes
• applying (e.g. by brush) paint onto (hiding power) charts
• reading colour with a spectrophotometer
• judging colour visually
• working with the colour matching software
• calculating colour formulae in Excel and editing the colour databases
• analysing results critically
• making wall-stickers using a printer, plotter and a laminator
• peeling wall-stickers manually
• testing new kinds or types of wall-stickers
• reporting to the team leader
• working together with 3 colleagues

Second interviews will take place in the SECOND week of September (5th and 6th) with the SK Lab Manager from Belgium.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)

Educational Specialization

technical direction or equivalent by experience

Language skills

English - Intermediate (B1)

Other knowledge

Microsoft Excel - Advanced

Personality requirements and skills

• You are punctual in working with figures.
• You have computer skills in Excel (database management)
• You are able to judge a colour (a colour sight test is part of the selection procedure)
• You have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• You are result oriented.
* You have sense of responsibility
* You are hands-on, willing to roll up your sleeves to solve a problem
* You have written and spoken knowledge of English
* Technical knowledge about printer, print heads, etc. is a plus
* You have secondary education with leaving examination or bachelor degree, preferably in a pure or applied scientific/technical direction or equivalent by experience
