Job description, responsibilities and duties

ORC (Operational risk & Control) is defined as the risk resulting from the inadequacy or failure of internal processes, or from external events, that has led, could led or could have led in a loss, a gain or an opportunity cost.

This risk must be managed, in the sense that it must be contained within acceptable limits by means of avoidance, reduction or transfer actions. This management must be provided while adhering to the framework set down by the regulations.

ORC unit provides a reasonable assurance of the efficiency and consistency of the risk analysis and permanent controls set up. Internal Control Specialist monitors, manages and reports the operational risks and incidents. Sets up, coordinates and supervises the permanent control, procedures, operational risk-related and regulatory recommendations. Main duties linked to the position:

- To maintain internal procedures and processes to be in line with Group standards and relevant regulations
- To cooperate on implementation of new (or update existing) internal rules
- To cooperate on establishment of an appropriate organization and governance of control system
- To ensure control plans fulfilment.
- To communicate and to support other departments in subjects related to ORC topics (essential providers, internal frauds, relationship with Regulator)
- To coordinate regular risk mapping
- To report identified risks, declared incidents and mitigation plans
- To coordinate risk scenarios maintenance
- To ensure follow-up of all recommendations (internal and external audits, Regulators, etc) and other corrective actions
