Job description, responsibilities and duties
Main Purpose of the Job
Executes lab work using provided synthetic routes and solves practical problems through the application of chemical synthesis. Scales-up and optimises the existing synthetic routes.
Key Responsibilities
• Synthesis of existing and new catalogue products following standardized protocols.
• Transfer of synthesis protocols from external sources.
• Performing synthesis routes and/or optimising current ones
• Single or multiple steps synthesis
• Characterisation and data analysis
• Record experimental detail and analytical data accurately in electronic lab notebook.
• Perform all laboratory work in a safe manner and comply with all regulations, adhere to company policies
• Share basic maintenance and housekeeping duties of laboratory equipment and chemistry laboratory areas
• Prepare and review technical documentation, SOPs and policies
• Work closely with team members, to deliver an excellent level of safe, high quality service
• Contribute to continuous improvement in quality and safety

• Familiarity with a wide range of organic synthesis techniques
• Technical and basic maintenance skills
