Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Software design and implementation, covering complete software development lifecycle from requirements analysis to production and commercial deployment of embedded devices and systems across product lines.
  • Integration and validation of new product designs with other project team members.
  • Must be experienced in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets using in-circuit debuggers and basic electronic test equipment, including scopes and logic analyzers.
  • Must have excellent documentation and writing skills with experience in generating concise software requirements, defining software verification tests and generating well-documented software packages.
  • Modern software development processes, including software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.
  • Embedded systems design with pre-emptive, multitasking real-time operating systems.
  • Support of software QA/test methodologies for product release, and design for test in a factory production setting.
  • Post production support as sustaining engineering.
  • Development of design verification test plan, bring-up testing of initial prototypes and responsibility for qualification results being spec compliant.
  • Managing of design activities when assigned as a project.

Personality requirements and skills

  • 5+ years design experience with real-time embedded systems.
  • SVN or similar versioning system user knowledge.
  • Proficiency and willingness to improve in at least of 2 of following languages: C, C#, C++
  • Provides technical support and guidance to our customers, marketing, field, and applications engineers.
  • Manufacturing experience from concept, to completion of designed product.
  • Taking on tasks outside of electrical design area as requested.
