Job description, responsibilities and duties

Your responsibilities:

- You will manage important, complex and regional CAPEX or service groups in cooperation with regional and international teams covering Bekaert needs in Central Europe (Slovakia, Czech republic, Romania)
- Your role will be to develop and maintain the 'category spend analysis' and 'savings reporting'
- You will give input and participate in setting the regional sourcing strategy and take ownership for the regional sourcing strategy towards the internal stakeholders with focus on contracting (Local & Regional), potential supplier base, type and duration of contracts to optimise the TCO for Bekaert in the full supply chain, …;
- You will steer the management of specifications for important and critical projects or services in order to make sure that the specifications are clear and available in the system and assure (delegate) the communication to the suppliers;
- You will participate in the definition and deployment of the X+1 targets for the category and allow a transparent follow up and communication of the performance against targets;
- Your will be responsible for defining and implementing the regional sourcing KPI’s by leading or delegating the tendering and negotiation process for critical projects or services and by following up the implementation of the contracts towards key internal customers and the suppliers (complaint handling, day to day business with suppliers etc.)
- You will have a chance to contribute to the purchase to pay process (connecting of tender results to purchase orders, contribution to complaint & claims handling, creating savings reports)
- You will manage and coach the local tactical buyers and purchasing assistants responsible for facility management services and investment projects in reaching the targets for the region of Central Europe
- Preparing, administering, monitoring and executing all appropriate documentation and communication when it involves international or complex transactions (bidding tables, notifications, etc.) in cooperation with the internal client and tactical buyer
- Leading projects, coordinating activities of project members (junior purchasers) and presents results;
- You will take an active role in improvement and development of own professional skills (professional trainings, language courses)
- You will act in line with Superior Manager directions in harmony with legal directions;

Your profile:

- You have University education
- You have min. 5 years of managerial experience
- You have min. 5 years experience with purchasing of CAPEX and services
- You speak English fluently
- You have good organizational, communication and presentation skills
- You have Driving license “B”
- You are willing to travel (20 % of time max)
- You are customer oriented
- If you can work with SAP system, it´s an advantage
