Job description, responsibilities and duties


  • Ensure the preparation of yearly financial statementsin accordance with thelocal legislation, accounting and tax rules
  • Monthly reporting of actuals, forecast and budget to group.
  • Setup controlling reports and perform controlling of the company with and in SAP.
  • Perform financial analysis and report monthly performance to management of the company and CFO of the EMEA Region.
  • Responsible for the development and further implementation of SAP tools in FI and CO.
  • Provide the organization with an operating budget. 
  • Ensure adequacy and effective functioning of the systems of internal controls to safeguard assets of the organization.
  • Oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors ensuring all audit issues are resolved, and all compliance requirements are met, and the preparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with Local GAAP and statutory requirements, including supplementary schedules and information.
  • Ensure adequate cash flow forecasting and cash flow management to meet the organization's financing needs.
  • Monitors and coordinates in particular the industrial/factory Controlling in order to develop the function and to improve the understanding of product cost development, variation analysis, performance analysis, etc.

Personality requirements and skills


  • 3+ years of experience as a Financial manager and in an Industrial Controlling role in well-structured international companies.
  • Previous experience of 3 to 4 years in an Audit Firm (Big Four) or in finance and accounting department is needed for a total minimum 6 to 7 years of working experience.
  • Active knowledge of English language
  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and final accounting, cost controlling
  • Good know how and skills in local and international accounting (Slovak accounting standards and IFRS) and Slovak tax legislation.
  • Knowledge of administrative and fiscal legislation
  • Manufacturing, industrial, distribution industry experience beneficial
  • SAP – intermediate/advanced (FI/CO) is a big plus
  • Supervisory experience an asset
