Job description, responsibilities and duties

This position is the interface worldwide between NAFTA-EUROPE-ASIA, regarding injection molding tools. According to the company's rules, to implement new technologies, based on company's tooling standards worldwide. The job owner is the technical supervisor for the tooling department’s worldwide, responsible for the strategic direction regarding tool technology, tooling coordination and supplier selection in cooperation with engineering and purchasing departments worldwide
• Implementation of tooling standards, to garantee a smooth launch in all company’s production plants worldwide, special for tool transfer projects.
• On tooling base standard with special local conditions for NAFTA, EUROPE, ASIA. Translated into the respective language. Application training for the Tooling engineer’s ww. Implementation of new tooling technologies in coorperation with the local Tooling engineers ww. Interface management between engineering departments and feasibility study to costumer needs.
• Business development with new supplier, special for tooling, to paricipate at the beginning of a project on new technologies. Feasibility studies regarding tooling, compared to costs, quality and costumer acceptance. Quality offensive in tooling in regard to produce parts with an Class A surface, to avoid second operations as painting, coating etc

• Main Interface between the company's Tech Center China related to international Tooling transfer projects between NAFTA or Europe Last call for each tool design review, regarding technology and feasibility.
• Training in intercultural needs CHINA-EUROPE / NAFTA at Tech Center Shanghai
• Control and improve the existing processes, procedures
• Audit of new Tool supplier worldwide to get the best tool technolgy to an commercially available price and lead time
• Evaluation of new audit documents, special for toolmaker and to link this to a ‘tooling supplier list ww’
• Audit and re-Audit tooling supplier, based on the company's partportfolio, production plants ww.
• To find supplier with special technologies, to have answers of costumer needs and RFQ’s Organisation and leading the expertise tooling network and tooling technology for each Costumer RFQ Supporting Sales, Purchasing, Program Managemnt related to existing- and new tool technologies.
• Risk Management, Strategy- and Feasibilty Training for new tool technologies

Personality requirements and skills

• Professional wiht technical education and knowledge of the injection tools
• 2-3 years Tooling Program Management, 2-3 years Design-Change Management, 2-3 years Tooling launch project engineer
• PC skills (MS Office), Catia - knowledge
• Ability to work independently, coordinate activities
• Fluent knowledge of English language
• Preferably technical university education - engineering, construction or another technical department
• Experience in quality is an advantage
