Job description, responsibilities and duties

JOB DIMENSIONS:

Providing a complex commercial procurement function for all the company´s expenditure with external suppliers and overall responsibility for professional approaching and the forefront regarding further implementation and development of general procurement strategies.

PPROCUREMENT STRATEGY & SUPPLIER MARKET KNOWLEDGE:

• Define yearly objectives in terms of coverage and savings jointly with the global category management heads.
• Build Procurement strategies and plans for all their Procurement segments, including risk & opportunity assessment.
• Conduct market analyzes & benchmarks and present a yearly situation update of supplier/technology markets.
• Develop an operational SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) approach for top strategic suppliers.
• Conduct supplier management meetings with top strategic suppliers, involving key internal customers.


BUSINESS INTEGRATION & PARTNERSHIP:

• Identify at year end, the needs, key projects & business objectives of internal customers for the following year.
• Perform a spend analysis and develop sourcing plans to ensure customer satisfaction and obtain the best value.
• Attend key internal customer committees to understand business objectives and share relevant Procurement data.
• Present Procurement strategies for major Procurement segments to the key internal customers for review.
• Develop strong partnerships with his/her key internal customers and drive Finance/Legal/Product relationships.


PURCHASONG NETWORK MANAGEMENT:

• Design and propose the organizational principles and staffing coverage for all categories.
• Ensure the set up and the progressive operational implementation of Procurement network.
• Increase overall organizational effectiveness, using best practice sharing and optimized resource allocation.
• Propose a pragmatic business model to integrate judiciously Procurement activities of new entities.


OPERATIONAL SOURCING & ACTION PLANS:

• Define operational action plans to achieve company´s coverage/saving objectives and optimize the total cost of ownership.
• Partner with Procurement team-leaders to develop and provide sourcing strategies at the best level of aggregation.
• Maximize the value delivered by your network to ensure customer satisfaction and business objectives are met.
• Lead and participate to some key strategic negotiations with suppliers and provide oversight of contract management.
• Develop an activity plan with relevant Key Performance Indicators and follow up with them throughout the year.


COMPLIANCE ENVIRONMENT MAINTENANCE:

• Ensure your organization is aware of ethical charter, corporate and country procedures.
• Develop internal reviews to ensure that sourcing process is respected and best practices are implemented.
• Propose improvement plans to ensure alignment with all the sustainable development & dupplier diversity goals.
